Muscat: The data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information in 2020 do not represent the statistics of the Ministry of Labour.
In an interview with Al Shabiba Mohammed Al Balushi, Head of the Labour Statistics at the Ministry said: “ The number of expatriate workers in the government sector decreased by 13,000 in the government sector 200,005 in the private sector from 2020 to 2021 as a result of replacement. More than 22 thousand foreign workers with a university degree work in non-specialized jobs.”
