Muscat: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has reduced the value of the bank guarantee for licensing the provision of postal services and related services for companies and institutions that registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority to OMR 1,000 from OMR 5,000 for the first five years of the license.
A statement issued online by the TRA said, "In line with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Decision No. (91/2020), which took effect from the date of March 29, 2021, regarding the amendment of fees for providing postal services and related services for companies and institutions registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, the Authority has decided to reduce the value of the bank guarantee for this category of companies to OMR 1,000 instead of OMR 5,000 for the first five years of the license."
