200,000 doses of Covid vaccine to arrive in Oman weekly from June: Minister

Muscat: The Sultanate expects to receive approximately 200,000 doses of the vaccine per week from the first week of June, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi, Minister of Health, said.

A statement issued online by The Oman News Agency, (ONA), said : "His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi, Minister of Health, says the Sultanate is expected to receive approximately 200,000 doses of the anti-Corona vaccine per week starting next June, and the batches will continue to arrive, expressing his hope that the vaccination rate in the Sultanate will exceed 30 to 35 percent before the end of August."

" His Excellency calls on the parents of the 12-grade students to encourage their children to be vaccinated against the Coronavirus disease Covid 19, pointing out that this disease is not limited to the elderly only and can affect all ages." he added.
