Stranded wooden vessel rescued by Oman

Muscat: The Marine Security Centre (MSC) has dealt with a stranded wooden vessel crossing Omani waters.

A statement issued online by Oman News Agency (ONA) said: "The Marine Security Centre (MSC) joined hands with military, security, and other civil departments concerned in tackling the incident of stranding of a wooden vessel crossing Omani waters off Daymaniyat Islands in the Governorate of Muscat, due to water leakage in the vessel."

"Competent authorities had successfully evacuated the vessel's crew and they are in good health. The incident was handled in accordance with the joint national work system that ensures the safety of fishermen, sea-goers, and the area surrounding the site of the accident," the statement added.
