Wadi Darbat in Oman offers stunning views to visitors

Muscat: Wadi Darbat is one of the most beautiful wadis in the Governorate of Dhofar due to its stunning views due to greenery, lush orchards, constant flow of water, and seasonal waterfalls.

Wadi Darbat is located in the east of the wilayat of Taqah at a distance of 7 kilometers, where Sidr trees and many large shady trees are spread on its sides. Derbat is known to represent a natural park due to its combined elements such as mountains, waterfalls, caves, and flat plains on both the sides, which allows wildlife such as the nests of endemic and migratory birds and various wild animals to exist.

Wadi Darbat attracts many tourists and it connects to khor Rori and the historic port of Sumhuram, which forms a beautiful sight for the residents of the governorate and everyone who visits. During the different climatic conditions, the Wadi's inhabitants of camel and sheep herders resort to the Wadi caves and its rocky cavities, seeking safety for themselves and their animals.

Dhofar Municipality has recently developed some facilities and created others, such as re-asphalting the road leading to the valley, car parks and metal barriers overlooking the lakes on the road leading to Al Ain.
