Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has rescued eight people on board from a boat after it ran aground in one of the Daymaniyat Islands.
A statement issued online by ROP said: "Coast Guard police boats respond to a distress call to one of the boats after it ran aground in one of the Daymaniyat Islands, as water leaked inside it. Coast Guard police boats rescued its eight-person crew and provided them with assistance."
