Muscat: Oman Meteorology, in its latest bulletin on tropical cyclone Tauktae said that the tropical storm is now classified as a tropical cyclone, with wind velocity at the centre between 70 and 80 knots.
The cyclone is currently at a distance of 1,530 km from Oman's coastline and the distance of the accompanying clouds is 1,000 km. Taukate's expected direction of travel is North/Northwest.
