Tropical storm ‘Tauktae’ likely to worsen

Muscat: Oman Meteorology on Sunday announced that the tropical storm Tauktae is most likely to deepen and develop into a category two cyclone.

A statement issued online by Oman Meteorology said: "The tropical storm Tauktae (Tau'Te), in the Arabian Sea, which is classified as a category one tropical cyclone with its continuous movement towards the north / northwest and then to the northeast, is likely to deepen and turn into a category two cyclone within the next 24 hours."
