Muscat: An Omani nurse died due to Covid-19, the Ministry of Health said on Friday.
This is the first Omani health worker to die as a result of coronavirus in the country.
A statement issued online by the Ministry of Health said:”His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi, Minister of Health, and their Excellencies, the Undersecretaries of the Ministry and all the employees of the health services in the Sultanate offer sincere condolences to the families of the late, God willing, the nurse Shanunah Al Nu'mani, who moved to the mercy of God Almighty after being infected with the Covid 19 virus.”
“We pray to God Almighty to cover her with the mercy of His mercy and to inspire her family and her family with patience and solace,” the statement added. Earlier two expat health workers died due to coronavirus.
