Minister of social development undertakes field visit to North Al Batinah

Muscat: The Minister of Social Development carried out a field visit to North Al Batinah Governorate to assess the damage to citizens' properties as a result of the recent weather conditions.

Her Excellency Laila Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development, met with the Governor of North Al Batinah and the Governor of wilayat Saham and a number of officials. The delegation also visited some of the homes of the affected families and directed officials to provide rapid emergency assistance to them and to study all affected cases to assess the damages."

The Minister urged civil society institutions, whether charitable societies or teams affiliated with the social development committees, to play their role by meeting the needs of the affected people and by helping them in cooperation with the ministry, noting that a number of charitable societies and teams have begun to assess the damage and help the affected families.
