Things to do this week in Oman

Bargain for the freshest fish
While Sohar has many other attractions, one should not miss paying a visit to the local fish market and watch the freshest catch being brought straight out of the sea. Shaped like a dhow it’s one of the liveliest place in Sohar where you can find people busy haggling over the fresh catch and get to see fish of all shapes and sizes heaped in different corners.

Immerse in the charms of Wadi Tanuf
Take a drive to Nizwa and visit Wadi Tanuf, where you not only find some fresh cool waters but also a quiet spot to camp and barbecue besides the mountaineous terrains. Located at the foot of Jabal Al Akhdar, around 20km behind Nizwa, is Tanuf village. From Muscat, drive to Nizwa and then straight towards Hamra.

Wander in Bahla Old Souq
Some souqs are ideal for a leisurely walk and if you are in Bahla visit the souq there that is opposite Bahla Fort. This traditional souq sells several homemade stuff including ropes and metal platters.
