Several rescued in North Al Batinah, warning issued for fishermen in Oman

Muscat: Rescue teams of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in North Al Batinah governorate managed to save several lives on Tuesday night when several calls related to collapse of houses due to strong winds were reported.

Two workers, who were trapped under a collapsed wall in the wilayat of Saham were rescued and provided emergency medical care. They were transferred to hospital and their health condition was said to be moderate.

Elsewhere in Saham, in Wadi Dil Al Abdul Salam, three people stuck in a broken down heavy vehicle were also rescued. There were no injuries recorded in this operation as well.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agricultural , Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources  has called on fishermen and sea goers to take caution.
