Muscat: The Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority has visited a number of centers and shops in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate to ensure that the value-added tax is properly applied in the markets.
A statement issued online by Consumer Protection Authority (CPA), said: "His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali Al Hikmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority, visits a number of centers and shops in the Governorate of Dakhiliyah, as part of his field visits to the various markets of the Sultanate’s governorates with the aim of ensuring that the value-added tax is properly applied and the extent of market stability after the implementation of the tax and that there are no violations in the application of the tax that affect the rights of consumers. "
