OBA celebrates Arab Financial Inclusion Day

Muscat: The Oman Banks Association (OBA), as part of its commitment to global best practices, and to raise awareness of the importance of financial inclusion, organised a digital campaign that started on April 27. This campaign came as part of an activities line-up to mark the annual Arab Financial Inclusion Day coinciding on April 27 of every year.

In line with the Arab Financial Inclusion Day, Oman Banks Association plays a major role in raising awareness about the banking sector and the role played by banks in economic growth. On this occasion, Oman Banks Association arranged an awareness pre-recorded video, online quiz, social media awareness posts, online game, and aim to arrange a workshop for people with special needs.

The objective of the campaign is to explain the banking system and financial concept, develop a positive mindset and habits to build financial capabilities and boost financial confidence.

This campaign comes as part of a number of activities organised by the Oman Banks Association to celebrate the Arab Financial Inclusion Day, and to contribute towards achieving universal access to financial services for all segments of society in Oman, launching initiatives, and organising campaigns and activities that promote financial awareness, and financial inclusion.

The Oman Banks Association is a non-profit professional association created to represent the banking sector, promote Omani banking activities, coordinate with the regulators on matters of policy and strategy, and support banking excellence in Oman.
