People urged to donate platelets in Oman

Muscat: The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS), has appealed to people to donate platelets.

A statement issued online by DBBS said: "Due to increased demand for platelets, the DBBS invites you to take the initiative to donate platelets according to the following times:

- Evening period: 7 pm - 10:30 pm (daily)

- Morning period: 8 am-11:30 pm from (Sunday to Thursday) ."

"For inquiries and book an appointment for platelet donation,  please contact via WhatsApp 94555648,” the statement added.
