Close to 1,100 new COVID-19 cases, 17 deaths reported in Oman

Muscat: As many as 1,077 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were registered in Oman on Wednesday, in addition to 17 new COVID-19-related death cases.  

This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases to 183,770 in the Sultanate.

The total number of COVID-19-related death cases reached 1926, the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry also pointed out that 1,094 new cases have recovered, bringing the total number to 163,750 recoveries.

The Ministry of Health also pointed out that 115 cases were hospitalised over the past 24 hours, adding that the total number of current hospitalised COVID-19-infected patients stands at 812, of them 264 are in intensive care units (ICUs).
