Muscat: An earthquake has been reported in Southern Iran on Tuesday, according to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC), at the Sultan Qaboos University.
A statement issued online by the EMC said: "An earthquake in Southern Iran with magnitude of 4.4, at 9:55 pm MCT and at a depth of 10 km has been recorded. The earthquake was recorded 649 km away from Khasab."
