Ministry of Social Development dismisses rumour about married job seekers

Muscat: The Ministry of Social Development has clarified that it has not asked married job seekers to visit the ministry and rubbished as false, a message circulated on social media.

The message stated that married job seekers should visit the ministry along with the marriage contract and the bank account number.

A statement issued online by the ministry said: "There is no validity in the message circulated that directed married job seekers to go to the Department of Social Development."

"The Ministry emphasises that everyone should take information from its official sources,” the statement added.
