Muscat: The Embassy of Oman in Egypt has confirmed the safety of Omani citizens following a train accident in Cairo.
A statement issued online by Oman News Agency, ( ONA ), said:” The Sultanate's embassy to the Arab Republic of Egypt confirmed the safety of two Omani citizens in the derailment of the train near the city of Toukh, north of the Egyptian capital, Cairo.”
The embassy expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and called for a speedy recovery for all the injuries.
“So far, the accident has resulted in eight deaths and dozens of wounded,” the statement added
