Dhofar officials, citizens appreciate COVID-19 decisions taken by government

Muscat: Dhofar Governorate officials and citizens have appreciated the efforts taken by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Welcoming the decision of the Supreme Committee tasked with dealing with coronavirus, they assured full support to the order extending the closure of commercial activities and movement ban in the Dhofar Governorate from 6 pm until 5 am, beginning Saturday. In the wake of an increase in the number of positive cases and deaths in the governorate, and a record rise in numbers of patients in the ICU, the measures will help protect society from this epidemic, they added.

Residents and citizens of the governorate have been advised to adhere to the precautionary measures and abide by the decisions of the Supreme Committee by staying at home and going out only when necessary. Those going outside must wear masks and stay away from crowded places while maintaining physical distancing
