Over 85,000 transactions completed through Invest Easy portal last year

Muscat: The number of transactions completed through the online portal 'Invest Easy' from the beginning of January till December 2020 reached 85,665, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP), said.

Elaborating on the transaction the Ministry said of these 17,266 were new transactions, 64,424 were updated transactions and (4,015 were cancelled transactions.

The ministry said that it has urged directs investors to conduct their transactions by using the electronic self-services provided through the online portal, 'Invest Easy.'

It contributes to the speedy completion of transactions, the achievement of clarity in the procedures and the possibility of updating all company data electronically in addition to saving time and effort and limiting hidden trade operations.

In addition, the electronic portal contributes to making the Sultanate a suitable environment for carrying out various commercial and investment business.

The ministry affirmed that investment today, in many different economic fields, has become a catalyst in the Sultanate in light of the existence of a stimulating investment environment, given the Sultanate’s assets that contribute to carrying out many different mega economic projects in various governorates.

It should be noted that the digital transformation team at the Ministry supervising the online portal 'Invest Easy', seeks to link all government agencies' licenses concerned with commercial registration to be through a single-window after re-engineering and simplification for the investor.

The team also works to introduce some improvements in services.

The electronic portal provided through the portal to be in the framework of speed and quality for the business community.
