Muscat :The Value-Added Tax will be implemented on fuel price in Oman from tonight, an official from Tax Authority said.
Speaking exclusively to Times of Oman, an official from the Tax Authority confirmed that the value-added tax will be applied on fuel prices from 12 am on Friday.
He added, "The value-added tax includes fuel prices in the Sultanate, with an increase of 5% over the previous fuel prices for April 2021 as following :
M 95: 227 baisa per litre
M 91: 215 baisa per litre
Diesel: 233 baisa per litre
The fuel prices for April 2021 before the implementation of VAT was as follows :
M 95 :216 baisa per litre
M 91 : 205 baisa per litre
Diesel : 222 baisa per litre
