Oman reports record number of ICU COVID-19 patients
Muscat: The Sultanate for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic has recorded more than 770 cases in hospitals, of whom 264 are in intensive care during the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
On Wednesday, statistics made available on Tarassud, the coronavirus monitoring app launched by the ministry, showed that the number of those hospitalized during the past 24 hours reached 105, and 264 patients admitted to ICU, bringing the total number of patients admitted to health institutions to 778 cases, which is the first time in the Sultanate.

While, the total number of currently infected cases of COVID-19 in the Sultanate is 18,181, by 10,35 percent.
The Sultanate also recorded nine deaths during the past 24 hours bringing the total to 1,807 and 1,269 new cases of Coronavirus, according to the daily report of the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry stated that the total number of registered cases in the Sultanate is 175,633 cases, the recovered 155,645, by 88,62 percent, and 1,807 deaths, by 1.3 percent.
