Ahli Islamic to launch ‘Inshaad' competition during Ramadan

Muscat: Celebrating the spirit of Ramadan, Ahli Islamic is gearing up to launch ‘Ahli Islamic Inshaad’—a competition of Islamic anthems that will take place during the holy month, aiming at showcasing the talents of Omanis and their outstanding performance in anthems. This initiative comes as part of the bank’s CSR strategy in supporting the cultural and social development of the Sultanate.

The contest consists of three phases and targets two different age groups including, participants with less than 15 years and youth with over 16 years. Ahli Islamic in collaboration with Nota Art Production & Distribution Center - an Omani SME specialised in managing events and activities will manage and execute this contest.

By launching this kind of competitions, the bank aims at encouraging SMEs to continue their efforts towards managing events and initiatives that enhance social and cultural activities among the people of Oman, and provide an avenue for Omanis to uplift and expose their skills, as well as organise activities that enrich youth interest and help them utilise their spare time in the best way.

Elaborating on the launch of the upcoming initiative, Yousuf Al Rawahi, Deputy General Manager and Head of Ahli Islamic Bank, said, “Ahli Islamic actively contributes to preserving the cultural heritage of the Sultanate, and stimulate its inheritance between generations. This is reflected in the bank’s continuous efforts for launching various social responsibility initiatives that reinforce the cultural knowledge of young Omanis-the key segment in the society. As part of our CSR strategy, it is our pride to launch this compatible initiative with the aim of empowering the talented youth and increasing awareness on ethical values of the society in line with the spirituality of the holy month.”

According to the terms and conditions of the competition, those who are interested to participate should send a video clip including their singing of any meaningful Islamic anthem of their own choice. The judging panel, including prominent vocalists in Oman, will evaluate the performance of the competitors in three phases. The final phase will witness a selection of 6 winners, three winners from each category. Ahli Islamic will further announce the details and terms of participating in the contest on its official pages on social media platforms.
