Muscat: Donors are allowed to go to the blood banks to donate blood during the movement ban period as of 1st Ramadan.
A statement issued online by Ministry of Health (MOH), said: "In view of the urgent need to continue donating blood units and its derivatives, and to facilitate the donation, coordination has been made between the Ministry of Health and the competent authorities to allow the donors to go to the blood banks during the period of movement ban, which starts from the first day of the holy month of Ramadan."
"Donors can contact the blood banks to book an appointment for their donation and obtain a blood donor permit. Note that the permit is temporary and is limited to the day indicated in the permit,” the statement added.
