Real estate firms from Oman, region to tackle challenges

Muscat: Testament to its pioneering role in the development of the real estate sector in Oman, Alargan Towell Investment has announced its participation as a main sponsor for the ‘Real Estate Forum’ organised by the Oman Real Estate Association (ORA).
The event which will flag off on May 30 at the Crowne Plaza, Muscat will see participation from real estate companies and investors from within Oman as well as regionally.
In addition to the company’s sponsorship of the forum, chief executive officer Eng. Hisham Moussa will represent Alargan Towell as a speaker in panel discussion sessions which is expected to gather the most prominent leaders and pioneers of the real estate industry in the Sultanate at the first of a kind event in Oman.
Commenting on providing support to events that raise the profile of the Omani real estate sector, Eng. Hisham Moussa, chief executive officer at Alargan Towell Investment said, “The real estate forum which is organised by Oman Real Estate Association is shaping up to be one of the most important events for the sector in the Sultanate. The forum brings together experienced real estate leaders and prominent government officials, and will also feature numerous experts from the real estate sector from Oman and abroad. Given the dominant role of real estate in the economic growth of Oman, we believe that this forum will be of great benefit to all attendees.”

By organising this event, the Oman Real Estate Association aims to highlight challenges facing the sector, as well as bringing together official government organisations responsible of managing real estate sector in the Sultanate and real estate developing companies.
The combination of these players are considered the backbone of the sector in the country and the forum is expected to be an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance the sector's contribution in the total local production of the Sultanate.
Additionally, the scheduled panel discussions will explore how the real state sector can play a key role in the activation of the Government's policy to diversify sources of income, by attracting foreign investment.
