House raided for being used to illegally upholster furniture

Muscat: A house was raided in Hamriya after expat workers used it as an illegal furniture upholstery shop.

A statement by Muscat Municipality read, "The Urban Inspection Department of Muscat Municipality in Greater Muttrah in cooperation with Royal Oman Police (ROP) raided a house in Hamriya area used by expatriate workers as an unauthorised furniture upholstery centre, which is contrary to the provisions of the local law organising the market."
