OCCI Chairman praises Oman’s achievements in global economic indicators

Muscat: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has praised the progress made and achieved by the Sultanate in global economic indicators.

His Excellency Eng. Ridha bin Jumah Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry , said: “We commend the progress made and achieved by the Sultanate in global economic indicators, which reflects the great efforts made by government and the Omani private sector institutions, which calls for optimism towards a more developed and brilliant economic future. "

Al Saleh said that the 2021 World Economic Freedom Index confirmed the Sultanate’s progress by five places, as it came in seventh regionally and 71 globally in the Economic Freedom Index.

“We must all continue efforts towards pushing the Omani economy to the desired diversification and raising its efficiency through the development of human resources, the promotion of innovation and creativity and raising the levels of the use of modern technologies.”
