Oman announces 4-day National Day break in November

Muscat: Oman will observe its 2026 National Day holiday on Wednesday and Thursday, November 25 and 26, according to the Ministry of Labour’s annual statement on national and religious holidays.

The two-day holiday is expected to offer citizens and residents an extended break, coinciding with the weekend.

The Council of Ministers has approved the advance announcement of official holiday dates at the beginning of each Gregorian year to help public and private sector organisations plan their work schedules and programmes and avoid clashes with local and international events.

The Ministry of Labour’s statement lists the dates of national and religious holidays for 2026, with the exception of Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha, which will be announced in accordance with declarations by the Main Committee for Determining the Beginnings of Hijri Months.

Oman marks National Day with celebrations and events across the governorates, highlighting the country’s heritage, culture and national identity.
