OSHRM conference on sustainable development kicks off, eyes on AI
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat

Muscat: Omani Society for Human Resource Management (OSHRM)'s 7th annual conference on sustainable development kicked off today at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 3-day conference was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour under the motto “Moving Towards the Future”. It seeks ways to benefit from the advantages of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in promoting sustainable development.

In this edition, the participants will consider ways of spearheading action based on the emerging AI revolution. They will explore AI ethics and its impact on the future of jobs, as well as the technology’s role in digital transition and sustainable development.

The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Saud Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, and attended by representatives of government institutions and private sector establishments.

The discussion panels will review the latest developments in the human resources sector. The conferees will study successful experiences and innovative solutions, with the prime aim of developing human resources, enhancing the human capital and applying the findings in shaping the new work culture.

The participants will also look into the latest developments in the field of business, innovations in HR techniques, employees’ participation in drafting strategies, the future of entrepreneurship and means of honing worker skills.
