Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, participated in the First International Exhibition for Dates and Honey held at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25-28 October 2023. The exhibition was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, with the attendance of a number of officials and experts in the field. Salim Mohammed Al Kaabi, General Manager - Credit & Legal, represented Bank Muscat in the opening ceremony. About 180 local and international companies working in production and packaging of honey and dates participated in the exhibition.
The exhibition aims to introduce dates and honey production in Oman, enable companies to see the new technologies used in the field, follow up on the recent developments provided though showcasing the latest products and innovations, encourage small and medium enterprises to participate and share their experiences, and open new horizons for investment in the sector.
MSMEs have always been an area of focus for Bank Muscat, which is keen to provide businesses with various financial services and facilities. During the 4-day exhibition, the bank is showcasing through a dedicated stall the services and benefits offered by Najahi Business Banking. Najahi is designed to enable MSMEs to develop and expand their businesses through a suite of products, including the value-added Najahi Current Account, Najahi Flexi Loan to support working capital, business expansion and other business needs; the Najahi Business Credit Card; and Najahi PoS Receivables financing for customers who use PoS machines for sales. All financing options are available to the Bank’s customers ‘collateral free’.

The bank participated previously is such local and international exhibitions and festivals held across the Sultanate in order to strengthen communication and partnership. The bank is continuously working to enhance the role of this important sector and invest in the development of various services that will provide incentives, benefits and facilities for entrepreneurs.
