Aim to foster innovation and apply fourth industrial revolution technologies: to develop solutions that support sustainability

Muscat: In the context of its ongoing commitment to instilling sustainability concepts and circular economy principles while enhancing the capabilities of Omani youth, the Omani Environmental Services Holding Company "be’ah" has announced the conclusion of its "be’ahTec" program in collaboration with Engineering Village, which was held at the W Hotel in Muscat.

The "be’ahTec" program aims to enhance the proficiency of young individuals and develop their skills in finding sustainable solutions to resource management. The program included a series of interactive workshops designed to stimulate creative thinking and the development of innovative projects among participants.

The program commenced with a series of workshops where participants were introduced to the program's objectives and challenges. These workshops were conducted across 12 pre-selected colleges and universities in various governorates of the Sultanate.

Out of 149 teams who passionately submitted their ideas through the "be’ahTec" website in the initial phase, the program carefully selected three main teams: "Scanner," "Emata," and "Quick."

Abdulrahman Al-Jahadhmi, one of the program's participants, stated: "After spending no less than three months thinking, planning, researching, and participating in training workshops under the supervision and training of specialists in the field, we have come up with a solution to a real-world problem that we will oversee with precision and accuracy."

He added that they were grateful to have qualified for one of the top three positions to find a technical solution to the issue of waste classification and characterization with high efficiency and at the lowest cost, achieved through the creation of an integrated AI system.

It is worth mentioning that throughout the program, participants acquired valuable skills, including teamwork, problem-solving, artificial intelligence programming, in addition to gaining a deeper understanding of sustainability and circular economy concepts.

It is noteworthy that the "be’ahTec" program, launched in 2022, aims to promote innovation and apply fourth industrial revolution technologies to develop sustainable solutions.
