Committee of GCC Central Banks’ Governors held its 80th meeting at Muscat

Muscat: The GCC Committee for Central Banks Governors held here on Tuesday its 80th meeting under the chairmanship of HH Sayyid Taimour bin Asa’ad Al Said, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO).

The meeting discussed a spectrum of topics, including matters related to supervision and control over the financial sector, in addition to payment systems and technologies used in the GCC financial sector, among other topics.

The committee also discussed topics related to developments in the field of combating money laundering and terrorism financing. It also touched on the matter of cybersecurity in the financial sector.
