Oman's programmes for Qatar  World Cup 2022 reviewed

Muscat: An introductory meeting was held on the Sultanate of Oman's preparations accompanying the Qatar World Cup 2022, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday.

Hosted by the Sultanate of Oman and represented by the Ministry of Information, the officials of the Steering Committee held a meeting with a number of media professionals from several European countries.

During the meeting, the Sultanate of Oman’s programme accompanying the Qatar World Cup 2022 was reviewed, and discussions were held on the facilities and incentives provided in the programme for receiving fans, packages and tourism programmes in cooperation with the relevant institutions, as well as the promotional campaigns.

Among them is the “Half Time For Oman” competition, which targets audiences from outside the Sultanate of Oman, and was launched on social media platforms to win free holidays in the Sultanate, through the national travel operator Visit Oman platform, in cooperation with Oman Air.

The Sultanate of Oman has unique heritage and tourism experiences and sites.

They also reviewed the preparations for the Football Fans Festival that will be held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center during the World Cup, which includes showing all World Cup matches live, and many accompanying entertainment activities and events.

It is worth noting that through the program, a set of facilities were announced to provide a unique experience for visitors, as all Haya card holders and their first-degree family members.
