Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman has received a phone call from His Excellency Bishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Head of the Secretariat of State of the Vatican for Relations with Countries.

The Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi and Bishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Head of the Secretariat of State of the Vatican for Relations with Countries, agreed to establish diplomatic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Vatican State.

During a telephonic conversation, the two officials also vowed to promote constructive cooperation and mutual interests for welfare and harmony among nations.

In addition, His Excellency the Foreign Minister received a phone call from His Excellency Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during which they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest within the framework of bilateral cooperation, and consulted on the latest developments in aspects and endeavors related to the draft agreement. known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
