Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, will patronise on October 19 the celebration of the Women’s Club for Sports and Cultural Creativity on the occasion of the Omani Women’s Day.
During the event, to be held at Al Bustan Palace hotel, the logo of the club will be unveiled. The celebration would be accompanied by a seminar under the title “The Women’s Seminar for Sports and Cultural Creativity”, the activities of which would continue for two days.
Through the seminar, the Women’s Club for Sports and Cultural Creativity reaffirms its true interest in working in line with the principles of partnership and interaction with all government departments and civil establishments.
The seminar would contribute to showcasing the club and would shed light on its prerogatives and goals. It would also enhance the club’s efforts to acquaint with the views of society and institutions /departments concerned on the role the club would play in the enhancement of the presence of Omani woman in the cultural and sports fields in partnership with the existing establishments.
The seminar would respond to the inquiries of the attendees. The seminar would also document the opinion and proposals of attendees and participants. Their views and proposals would be considered and employed within the activities and programmes of the club.
The club aims to provide women with the opportunity to exercise various cultural and sports activities.
It also aims to boost the role of women in twe sports and cultural fields and to work on organising contests, competitions, championship and events in the various cultural and sports fields.
The seminar would see the participation of those concerned with cultural and sports fields in addition to the related establishments of the government and private sectors.
It should be noted that HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said issued a decision on 17 October 2021 to launch the Women’s Club for Sports and Cultural Creativity.
