Khazaen City witnesses great turnout from investors

Muscat: Khazaen City will soon develop infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for investment in the city, including a labour city covering an area of 55,000 square metres.

Khazaen Economic City is witnessing a great demand from investors to localise their projects due to its strategic location near Muscat Governorate and Sohar Port.

Last week, Khazaen Economic City signed an agreement to develop and operate the "Labour Village" with Al-Adrak to build on an area of 55,000 square metres, with an investment value of OMR 12 million.

The labour village consists of housing complexes designed with high specifications for housing employees and workers, and the first phase of labour housing complexes will be built on a land area of 25,000 square metres, in addition to the integrated service complex that will be built on a land area of 35,000 square metres.

The labour village aims to accommodate more than 5,000 employees and workers and provide integrated services and facilities such as shopping stores, restaurants, banks, gyms, mosques, clinics, recreational places and other support services. .

Engineer Salem bin Sulaiman Al-Dhuhli, CEO of Khazaen City, explained that the signing of the agreement came as a continuation of the city's efforts to establish an integrated economic city, and to provide a healthy and safe environment for workers, noting that Khazaen Economic City allocated 730,000 square metres for labour villages, which aims to accommodate more than 90,000 workers when the city is completed.

He told Oman News Agency that the "labour village" project comes as an attractive factor for local and foreign investments in addition to the facilities provided by Khazaen Economic City, especially with regard to the speed of completion and the city's strategic location, services and ready infrastructure.

He stressed that Khazaen Economic City continues to implement vital projects in the city, along with Khazaen Land Port, Khazaen Central Market for Vegetables and Fruits, and the Pharmaceutical City.
