Ten projects shortlisted for final stage of Bilarab Bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design

Muscat: The Arbitration Committee of  Bilarab Bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design has concluded sorting out and evaluation of the projects that meet the terms of the first phase of the award, which include architectural landmarks, models and buildings inspired by the Omani culture, in addition to tourism and commercial establishments, parks and open-area souqs.

Ten projects have qualified for the final stage of evaluation out of the projects submitted.

The participants were divided into five individual teams and five team groups were invited to deliver presentations on their projects within the initial review stage, which will be held on 27 and 28 February at the exhibitions hall of Sultan Qaboos University.                              

Those who qualified would deliver detailed presentations before the Arbitration Committee.   

The Arbitration Committee urged the youth who qualified to amend and improve the designs of their projects and clarified for them the aspects of their project which they need to work on.

The Committee also asked them to prepare final video presentations for their projects, provided that they send their participation not later than 10am, Thursday 24 February.
