Muscat: The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) will commence, on Sunday, the activities of the 31st session of the survey on consumer’s confidence for the third quarter 2021, which will continue for five days and targets citizens aged 18 and above
The Consumer Confidence Index is one of the indices of significance to the economic activity.
The survey aimed to measure the development of Omani families between 2020 and 2021.
It also aimed to identify the factors negatively or positively affecting the level of Oman’s economy and the future forecasts of the economy and the current condition of Omani families and their purchasing power in terms of home appliances, cars and various commodities and the current job opportunities and future forecasts of jobs.
The survey targets a sample of not less than 1,500 national respondents in the various governorates of the Sultanate.
The data collection would be via phone calls through the phone number 24219000 of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
It is worth mentioning that all data would be kept confidential in accordance with the provisions of article (11) of the Law of Statistics, promulgated by Royal Decree No. 55/2019 .
