One arrested in Oman for electronic fraud

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP), has arrested a person for electronic fraud.

A statement issued online by the ROP said: "Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command arrests an Arab person on charges of fraud by posting an advertisement on social media platforms about providing financial aid to insolvents. As he deluded victims by promising to allocate large sums of money to help them, asked them to pay money transfer fees and then blocked the victim's phone calls."
