Expats arrested in Oman for running illegal slaughterhouse

Muscat: In cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), Sohar Municipality has arrested several expats for slaughtering sick sheep at an unlicensed site and in unsanitary conditions.

A statement issued online by Sohar Municipality said: "Sohar Municipality, in cooperation with Public Prosecution and the Royal Oman Police, arrested expatriate workers who slaughtered sick sheep ar an unlicensed site in a farm and in unsanitary conditions, where the slaughter was carried out in a bathroom."
