Oman crime: Attempt to smuggle fake cigarettes foiled

Muscat: Customs officials at Hafeet border foiled an attempt to smuggle 100 boxes of counterfeit cigarettes and 2.5 kilograms of chewable tobacco, Royal Oman Police (ROP) reported on Wednesday.
In another incident, an attempt to smuggle more than 171 counterfeit cigarettes through Khatmat Milaha border was foiled by customs' officials, ROP said.
