GCC meeting held in Bahrain

Manama: Chairpersons of the Shura councils, councils of representatives and national councils in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held their 10th meeting, which kicked off on Wednesday in Bahrain, under the chairmanship of Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla, speaker of Bahrain’s Council of Representatives, with the participation of Dr. Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, GCC Secretary General.
Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, chairman of the Majlis Al Shura chaired the Sultanate’s delegation at the meeting.
Mulla, speaker of the Council of Representatives in Bahrain gave a speech in which he said that the people of the GCC states have withstood exceptional challenges. A number of initiatives have been made pertaining to improvement in the living conditions of people and economy.
Efforts have been made to prepare the countries for a promi-sing future.
To this effect, he stressed further cementing the ties, cooperation and partnership in policies and decision making. —ONA
