Royal Guard of Oman celebrates its annual say, new recruits graduation

Muscat: The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) celebrated at the RGO parade ground today its Annual Day, which falls on 1st November every year and the graduation of new recruits under the patronage of Lt.Gen Said bin Ali al-Hilali, Head of Internal Security Service (ISS).
The ceremony began by playing the Royal Anthem upon the arrival of the chief guest to the parade ground. Then, he inspected the front column of graduates.
The chief guest handed over certificates to top graduates. He also pinned special service medals on RGO personnel in recognition to their efforts in serving RGO and their dedication in serving the country, His Majesty; the Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, as well as their dedication in carrying out their national sacred duty.
The graduates chanted the RGO anthem and proclaimed thrice Long Live His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The ceremony was attended by their highnesses, chairmen of the State Council and Majlis A’Shura, ministers, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, military and security departments, honourable members of the State Council, judges, senior officers at SAF, RGO, Royal Oman Police (ROP), other military and security departments, military attaches, RGO retired commanders, senior officers, commissioned and non-commissioned officers and personnel.

Top new recruits awarded
Maj. Gen Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Junaibi, Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) handed over at the RGO Command yesterday awards to top new recruits and certificates to graduates.
Maj. Gen Al Junaibi and the attendees watched a documentary on stages of training.
The ceremony was attended by RGO senior officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel. -ONA
