'Ministry of Manpower not in charge of renewal of resident cards in Oman'

Muscat: A senior official from the Ministry of Manpower has clarified that the department is not in charge of renewal of labourers’ resident cards.
The ministry adviser said that the resident card system is handled by Royal Oman Police, not the ministry.
“We are not in charge of renewal of labourers’ resident cards. It’s not our responsibility. We only renew licenses for commercial institutions,” Abdullah Al Nasri, the head of public relations department at the Ministry of Manpower, told Times of Oman.
