Muscat: As per the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the blessed Eid Al Adha 1437 AH holiday for employees at the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state's administrative apparatus will be from Sunday 9th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH, corresponding to 11th September 2016 till Thursday 13th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH, corresponding to 15th September 2016. Work will be resumed on Sunday 16th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH, corresponding to 18th September 2016.

This came in a decision issued on Sunday by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud al-Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Chairman of the Civil Service Council.
The text of the decision reads as follows:
"On the occasion of the blessed Eid Al Adha 1437 AH, and as per the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the Eid holiday for employees at the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state's administrative apparatus will be from Sunday 9th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH, corresponding to 11th September 2016 till Thursday 13th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH corresponding to 15th September 2016. Work will be resumed on Sunday 16th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH, corresponding to 18th September 2016."
The Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court extended his congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said on this blessed occasion, praying to the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness and a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty for many years to come and the Omani people and our dear country further progress and welfare under His Majesty's wise leadership and all Muslims prosperity and blessings.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al-Bakri, Minister of Manpower today issued a ministerial decision stating that Eid Al Adha holiday at the private sector's companies and establishments will be from Sunday 9th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH, corresponding to 11th September 2016 till Thursday 13th Dhul Hijjah 1437 AH, corresponding to 15th September 2016.
The decision allowed employers and employees to agree on work arrangements to compensate this holiday, if necessity arises. Employees whose weekly-off coincides with the holiday of the aforesaid occasion must be compensated.
All employees at the private sector extended their congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said on this happy occasion, praying to the Almighty Allah to protect His Majesty, grant him good health, happiness, a long life and for the return of this and similar occasions on His Majesty, the Omani people and all Muslims with welfare and blessings.
It was also decided that Sunday, September 11, 2016, will be an official holiday for employees of private sector companies and establishments until Thursday 15 September, according to a decision issued by Sheikh Abdullah bin Nassir Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower.
