Muscat: Majlis Al Shura is discussing Omanisation in managerial positions in the private sector in its 16th session of the first annual sitting of 2015-16.

On Tuesday Times of Oman reported that the discussion is based on a report submitted by an in-house committee recommending increase in the local workforce in “leader and supervisory roles” in the private sector.
According to the Shura head, Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali, “the report highlights the reality of the Omanisation of leadership positions in the private sector. “It specifically highlights the challenges that Omanisation policy is facing in the Sultanate,” he was quoted in an official tweet.
