Oman weather: Heatwave likely to sweep Sultanate

Muscat: A heatwave will sweep across Oman starting from Tuesday till Saturday, global meteorologist have said.
“I can see a spell of hot weather from Tuesday through Saturday. The heat should back to more typical levels on Sunday,” Senior Meteorologist Jason Nicholls said.
“There will be a strengthening high aloft over Saudi Arabia causing the heat to build,” the meteorologist added.
According to Oman meteorology department, the maximum temperatures at Suwaiq, Fahud, Quriyat, Bid Bid and Khasab were hovering around 44 degree Celsius on Saturday.
