Latest: 25-50mm rainfall expected in parts of Sultanate
Muscat: Heavy rain has been predicted in Oman on Tuesday, by the meteorological department.
In a tweet on its official Twitter handle, the meteorological department has predicted heavy rain in northern parts of Oman due to a low pressure system.
According to Jason Nicholls, a senior meteorologist at Accuweather.com, there will be some storms over far NE Oman.
“Isolated rain possible on Sunday; more rain, locally heavy, for Oman and UAE later next week,” the meteorologist tweeted on his official Twitter handle.
European Centre for Medium‑Range Weather Forecast also shows a wet start to April for Middle East region, including Oman, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Northern India.
