Latest: Three children critical after Indian School bus accident in Nizwa
Muscat: The death toll from Bahla accident rose to five as an Indian teacher on board of the ill-fated bus succumbed to her injuries.
"She succumbed to her injuries a few minutes ago, " a medic at the hospital said.
The accident had claimed four lives, two Omani drivers and two Class II students of Indian School Nizwa in the evening.
The ROP had said earlier that four others admitted at Nizwa hospital were in critical condition. “The bus was carrying 33 people when it rammed into a truck carrying frozen fish,” the official said.

While four of them died on the spot, eight others sustained moderate injuries and 18 students sustained minor injuries.
The accident occurred when the bus was returning to Nizwa after taking the children to a tour in Bahla.
"Around 120 students in four buses went for the picnic but three buses returned and we came to know one of the buses was involved in an accident,” the school authorities said.
The children were aged around 8 years and all were students of Class II.
